Stephen J. Cuff - Director
Stephen has taken the academic route into the industry gaining a Bachelor of Science Degreein Building with Endorsements for Mechanical & Electrical Services.
Prior to joining the Company as a Clerk of Works in 1987, Stephen spent 7 years working as a
Technical Assistant to the Building Officers of 2 Universities responsible for new build,
refurbishment and maintenance.
In 1990, Stephen was appointed Quality Assurance Manager until 1993 when he was invited
to become a Director of the Company.
Stephen has responsibility for Special Projects with particular reference to Mechanical &
Electrical requirements, he also performs the role of a Clerk of Works on projects local to
the Evesham office.
The Company is managed by the Chairman, Michael, and 2 Technical Directors, Peter and Stephen, all of whom
have many years ‘hands on’ site experience within the construction industry. They are supported by a fourth
Director and Company Secretary, Clare, who is further supported by Nicola and Richard who perform the
necessary Administrative and Financial functions. Richard Durrant completes the team and administers our
Quality Management System. The business is very much a family concern, with Clare, Nicola and Richard
being Michael’s daughters and son.
Michael J. Gage - Chairman
Michael commenced his working life as an Apprentice Bricklayer and subsequently spent 23 years in managerial
positions attaining the position of Regional Construction Manager with a National Contractor. He joined John D.
Tupper & Associates Limited in 1988 carrying out the duties of a Clerk of Works.
He became a Partner of the Company in 1990 and secured the Business in 1993 following the retirement of John
and Molly Tupper. After 9 years as Managing Director, Michael assumed the title and role of Chairman of the
Company in 2002.
Peter T. Edmunds - Managing Director
Peter commenced work with a Local Authority working in the Technical Services Department and spent 14 yearsgaining experience in the Civil Engineering aspects of the construction industry. He was involved in a variety of
major highway schemes together with various maintenance and improvement projects.
He joined John D. Tupper & Associates Limited in 1988 as a Clerk of Works / Inspector working on the
construction of a section of the M40 motorway.
In 1990, Peter joined the Company as part of the Management Team and was invited to become a Director in 1993.
He was subsequently appointed Managing Director of the Company on 1st January 2002.
