The Company is run by three Directors, Michael, Peter & Stephen, all of whom have Construction Industry, 'hands on' site experience. They are supported by a fourth Director and Secretary, Clare, who is further supported by Nicola & Richard who perform the necessary Administrative and Financial functions.

The business is very much a family concern, with Nicola, Clare & Richard being Michael's daughters and son.


Michael J. Gage - Managing Director


Commenced his work in life as an Apprentice Bricklayer after which he spent 23 years in managerial positions reaching the position of Regional Construction Manager with a National Contractor. He joined John D. Tupper & Associates Limited in 1988 carrying out the duties of a Clerk of Works. He became a Partner in 1990, and secured the business in 1993 on the retirement of John & Molly Tupper. Having served his time as a 'Poacher' he now uses his 'Gamekeeper' expertise in his role as Managing Director of the Company.

Michael represents the Institute of Clerk of Works on the Construction Industry Council's Committees for Industry Practices and Consultants Forum and is a past Chairman of the Faculty of Building, Cotswold Branch.


Peter T. Edmunds - Director


Started work with a Local Authority Technical Services Department, and spent 14 years gaining experience in the Civil Engineering aspects of the Construction Industry and was involved with major highway construction projects and various maintenance and improvement schemes. In 1988 joined John D. Tupper & Associates Limited as a Clerk of Works/Inspector on the M40 Motorway overseeing all aspects of construction from excavation through to blacktop. In 1990 became part of the Management Team and was invited to become a Director in 1993.

Stephen J. Cuff - Director


Stephen has taken the academic route into the industry, gaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building with endorsements for Mechanical & Electrical Services. Prior to joining the Company as a Clerk of Works in 1987, Stephen spent 7 years working as Technical Assistant to the Buildings Officer for two Universities, responsible for New Build, Refurbishment and Maintenance. In 1990 Stephen was appointed Quality Assurance Manager, which is still under this control, and was invited to become a Director in 1993 with the responsibility for special projects, and in particular, any electrical and mechanical requirements.
