Project Description:

Perdiswell Leisure Centre - New eight-lane 25-metre competition-standard main pool along with poolside seating for 250 spectators. The development will also include an 18m x 10m learner pool with a moveable floor to allow it to be transformed into a fun pool for youngsters. Other facilities will include 120 gym stations and an outside café. The existing sports hall will be refurbished once the new pool is completed.

The Works for Perdiswell Leisure Centre consists of demolishing part of the existing building to install new ground beams and bases to support a new steel frame. The structure is intended to house two new state of the art swimming pools, one with touch sensor pads for elite racing and the other with a moveable floor to accommodate multiple uses.

The building will house a new changing village for gym and pool users on the ground floor and a new gym on the first floor. A new cafe will also be formed near to the new entrance for users and visitors.

The new building extension will be erected alongside the refurbishment of the existing part of the building. These works comprise of consequential improvements to the existing sports hall and changes to the layout and use of existing studios and corridors.
